Skilling and Livelihood project is a unique project on its own, aimed at providing backend support to students and thus help them in creating a sustainable livelihood for future. This project is organized by Y4D Foundation in collaboration with Ishanya Foundation. Y4D Foundation understood the requirements and came up with the idea of providing skill training to students, which would further help them in sustaining their livelihood and support themselves as well as their families. One of the beneficiary from the project, Mr. Nagesh Gireppa Kadre was given training for 3 months in ‘CNC Milling’ skilling course. He comes from BPL status and had difficulty in continuing education. He got support from Y4D Foundation and attended training for CNC Milling. He topped the exam at National level and is now going to represent India at International level in Shanghai, China. He not only made his parents proud, but made the whole country so proud of him. This opportunity was given to him and he got benefited from it. Students like him only need direction once they get it, they can make the country proud! Y4D is looking for such kind of empowerment at grassroot level where people, who are enthusiastic, are provided with an opportunity, which would further help them to sustain a livelihood with dignity.
